Mechanical Seal Manufacturer & Exporter — Supplying the US, UK, Middle East and Africa

Export Markets

Leak-Pack Engineering is a Gujarat, India-based manufacturer of mechanical seals, rotary unions and seal support systems for pumps, mixers, reactors and other rotating equipment. Alongside our customer base across India, we manufacture and export precision-engineered sealing solutions to customers in the United States, United Kingdom, Middle East and Africa.

Every seal we export starts the same way it does for a domestic order — built to your drawing, sample, or exact application requirement, tested in-house before dispatch, and packed for safe international transit. This page is the starting point for anything export-related: which standards we work to, which industries and equipment we serve in each region, and how to get a quote wherever you’re ordering from.

Why Overseas Buyers Choose Leak-Pack

International Quality Standards We Work To

Export buyers typically need to confirm standards compliance before they can even request a quote internally, so we lead with it here rather than making you dig for it. Leak-Pack manufactures to the following recognised standards:

StandardWhat It Covers
API 682The global benchmark for mechanical seals used in the oil, gas and chemical industries – seal design, testing, piping plans and reliability requirements.
ISO 9001Quality management certification ensuring controlled manufacturing and inspection processes throughout production.
DIN 24960 / EN 12756Dimensional and design standards for interchangeable seals – the reference point most UK and European buyers specify against.
API 610The compliance standard relevant to refinery and petrochemical pump applications.

For the full detail on how we test and validate against these standards — including face flatness tolerances, material traceability and our approach to API 682’s roughly 25,000-operating-hour service life target — see our Quality page.

Markets We Export To

Each region we export to has its own dominant industries and standards expectations. The summaries below link through to the specific product and industry pages most relevant to buyers in that market — dedicated country pages with fuller detail are in development.

United States

US buyers typically specify against API 682 and API 610, and often come to us looking for a custom-engineered or OEM-equivalent replacement seal where domestic lead times have stretched. Our cartridge and split seal designs are built for exactly this — pre-assembled and pre-set for consistent field installation, and engineered for retrofit onto most existing centrifugal and rotary pumps. We supply into US oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation and food & beverage applications; see our Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Power Plants and Food & Beverage industry pages for equipment-specific detail.

United Kingdom

UK and wider European buyers most often specify against DIN 24960 / EN 12756 for dimensional interchangeability, alongside API 682 where the application calls for it. We supply seals and rotary unions into UK chemical processing, water and wastewater treatment, HVAC and refrigeration, and marine and shipping applications — see our Chemical Processing, Water & Wastewater Treatment, HVAC & Refrigeration and Marine & Shipping industry pages for the equipment and materials we typically recommend.

Middle East

Refining, petrochemical and desalination demand across the Gulf and wider Middle East is a strong match for our existing product range — particularly our metal bellow and dry-running seal designs for high-temperature, high-pressure service, and our seal support systems for API piping plans on unattended or infrequently inspected installations. Our Oil & Gas industry page covers this ground in depth, including seal category and arrangement selection consistent with API 682 principles for centrifugal and rotary pump sealing.

We supply mechanical seals, rotary unions and seal support systems to buyers across the following Middle East markets:

Dedicated pages for each of these markets are in development; once live, each country name above will link directly through to its own page covering the specific standards, equipment and lead-time detail relevant to that market. In the meantime, all seven are served from the same Gujarat manufacturing base and engineering process described on this page.

Africa

Mining and mineral processing, power generation, and municipal and industrial water treatment are the dominant applications we supply into across Africa. Our Mining & Mineral Processing industry page addresses abrasive slurry and tailings duty specifically, including seal specification considerations consistent with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) — relevant to South African mining operators in particular. Our Power Plants and Water & Wastewater Treatment industry pages cover the other two major application areas.

Industries We Serve Worldwide

The same 12 industries we serve across India are the ones we export into. Each has a dedicated page covering the specific equipment, sealing challenges, and seal types we recommend:

Manufacturing, Custom Engineering & Export Logistics

All seals are designed, manufactured and tested at our facility in Chhapi, Gujarat, supported by in-house R&D, precision machining, lapping and testing equipment. For non-standard, legacy, or imported pump applications, our custom solution process starts with your equipment type, shaft size and RPM, fluid characteristics, operating pressure and temperature, and any existing seal drawing or OEM reference — see our Custom Solution page for the full list of information our engineering team works from.

Frequently Asked Questions

We manufacture and export mechanical seals, rotary unions and seal support systems to customers across the United States, United Kingdom, Africa, and the Middle East — including the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Iraq — in addition to our domestic customer base across India.

Yes. We design and manufacture to API 682 principles for centrifugal and rotary pump sealing, alongside ISO 9001 quality management, DIN 24960 / EN 12756 dimensional standards, and API 610 for refinery and petrochemical pump applications. See our Quality page for the full detail.

Yes. Send us your existing seal sample, drawing, or pump and equipment details, and our engineering team will design a matching or improved seal — including for imported and non-standard pumps where OEM replacements are difficult to source.

Yes, we manufacture to DIN 24960 / EN 12756 dimensional and design standards for interchangeable seals, the standard most commonly specified by UK and European buyers.

We provide material traceability documentation alongside standard shipping paperwork; every seal passes quality checks before dispatch and is packed for safe international transit. Confirm specific certification or documentation needs for your order when you send your enquiry.

Yes. This is our standard process for non-standard and imported pump applications — share your sample, drawing, or equipment details and our team will confirm design and lead time.

Yes. Our full range — including seal support systems, API piping plans, and rotary unions/rotary joints — is available to export customers on the same basis as our domestic range.

Send your pump or equipment details, application, and delivery country through our enquiry form and our engineering team will follow up directly with a quote and lead time for your location.
